SCHEDULED THE SURGERY?

SCHEDULED THE SURGERY?

Only after examining the patient preoperatively do we determine which procedure provides the best health and aesthetic results. Once the diagnosis is confirmed and the surgical technique is chosen, we begin to gather a series of information that provides us with information to plan the surgery.

It is worth remembering that each person has their own expectations and these must match the possibilities. The medical consultation and evaluation are very important, because you can and should clarify all your doubts. For our part, in the pre-operative and post-operative periods, we guide patients so that everything can achieve the best result within individual possibilities, through shared decisions, thus trying to meet real expectations.

When we schedule a surgery, we get excited for the day to come and, of course, we prepare as much as possible so that everything goes well! We imagine that your expectation is also high!

So, we’ve raised some important points common to most plastic surgeries to guide us from pre-operative consultations to the day of surgery.

HEALTH

Until the date, or rather, until the time of the anesthesia, you have the ideal opportunity to report to us your state of health and communicate any abnormality, pain or discomfort, agreed?

DEPENDENCE

We also need to know if you drink alcohol. If so, which ones and at what frequency. Are you a smoker? If so, how many cigarettes per day? Do you consume any other substance?

NUTRITION

We want to know what your eating habits are like, if you ingest dietary and/or vitamin supplements like whey protein, vitamin D3, glutamine, omega 3, thermogenics, creatinine, Gingko Biloba, Ginseng, among others. If you usually drink garlic tea, green tea, herbal tea, among others.

MEDICINES

Do you consume any medications for continuous or occasional use? For blood pressure or heart? Insulin? Anti-inflammatory drugs? Natural medicines? Do you take aspirin (ASA) or vitamin E? Are you allergic to any medication? Report them all and bring any prescriptions you have to the preoperative appointment.

EXAMS

We request lab tests, cardiology tests and, if necessary, imaging examinations.

FAST

Normally, you should fast for 8 hours before surgery. If it is different from this, we will highlight it on the surgery page.

DISEASES

We ask if you have any diseases such as diabetes, high or low blood pressure, hypo or hyperthyroidism, asthma, bronchitis, cancer, anemia, sexually transmitted diseases, cardiovascular or other. Do you or anyone in your family have keloids or any healing difficulties?

PERSONAL CARE

When showering before surgery (on the same day or the day before), use soap and/or antiseptic shampoo and be sure to arrive at the hospital with completely dry hair. Stop dyeing your hair for at least 7 days. No painted nails. On the day, do not wear perfume, deodorant, makeup, or face or body creams.

WHERE IS THE SURGERY?

Our surgeries are performed in the best hospitals in Sao Paulo/SP. Arrive at least one hour before with a companion, bring your documents, admission letter (if applicable) and all the exams requested at the scheduled hospital.

CLOTHES AND ACCESSORIES

Do not come with earrings, rings, necklaces, or any accessories. Ideally, come with clothes that you can take off or put on without the need to go over your head. Bring a bag or suitcase to store your personal belongings until you are discharged from the hospital.

In the preoperative period when we do the anamnesis, we ask if you practice any physical activity and how often? Any hobbies? We want to know about your work and even your future plans. Do you take any contraceptive medication? Are you already a mother? Are you planning to get pregnant?

For each procedure, we ask questions and give specific recommendations, as you can see on the respective surgery page.

It should be noted that our interest in what we ask in consultations is purely medical and is aimed at identifying if there is anything that could harm the procedure and the respective healing.

For example, we assess how long you should stop consuming certain substances before surgery.

In addition, you can count on our absolute discretion, confidentiality, and total commitment to performing the procedure within the best practices in place.
